Members are demonstrating their activities, such as placing flowers before sacred statues; reading from a sodality publication "The Queen's Work"; and creating inspirational posters. The academy was located on Mansfield Ave. in Burlington, Vermont. Sodalities were lay organizations dedicated to personal piety and service to others. Photo #12.

Taken in a building on Orchard Terrace, known as "The Pilgrim House", purchased by the First Congregational Church for Sunday School use. House demolished in 1960s to make way for new addition to the church. The children sit at tables. A woman leans over the children also helping with the cutting.
