- Description: Undated photo but may be 1928-1929. Trolley track rails can still be seen embedded in the street. This is the base of Colchester Ave looking east with two retail businesses seen. Building on the right stands at 485-487 Colchester at the corner of Barrett Street. Ernest C. Potvin, grocer at number 487. Building on the left is listed in the City Directory 1929 as L. D. - Description: January 24, 1942. Hayward Street Improvements: This view shows the application of the hot asphalt emulsion being applied into the stone base or binder course. This binder course is approximately two inches in thickness and is laid on top of the eight inch telford stone base which is constructed on a six inch sand cushion. Note the old concrete curbs on the east side of the street and the absence of the curbs on the west side of the street where the undertile drain has been constructed. New integral concrete curb and gutter will be constructed in the spring.

- Description: November 17, 1933; 11-17-33 N. R. M. #60B Federal Project Main Street looking west from city limits. Large pieces of crushed stone lay on one side of the street in this resurfacing project. Wooden saw horses serve as barriers. Workmen and vehicles seen further up the road.

- Description: March 13, 1940. Intersection of North Street and North Winooski Avenue. This view shows the style of new street signs just erected on North Street from North Winooski Avenue to North Avenue. These signs were designed, constructed and erected by Street Department employees during the winter months. The name plates were purchased from the Lyle Signs Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota. There were seventeen of these signs constructed and erected on this street. The street lamp posts have spites projecting out from them to aid workmen climbing up. Retail stores and businesses include the The Silver Star Restaurant at 202 North. Grand Union in-between the Silver Star and Mazel's that is at 194 North. Dentist office above the Silver Star.
