Most seem to be dressed for First Communion, although the older boys have dark blazers and navy style caps. The picture may have been taken shortly after Victory in Europe Day (May 8, 1945), which would explain the prominence of the American flag. The parish school seen in the background opened Oct. 8, 1931, closed in 1971, and was demolished in 1980. Photo #3.
