- Description: Portrait of Oliver Otis Howard, United States Army officer and Union General during the American Civil War. Born in Leeds, Maine in 1830. Served in the First Battle of Bull Run, Battle of Antietam, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg and others. Wounded and lost his right arm in the Battle of Seven Pines. Instrumental in the founding of Howard University located in Washington, DC. Died in Burlington, Vermont in 1909. Is buried in Lake View Cemetery in Burlington.

- Description: Portrait of fifteen ladies, the Klifa Club, in period dress, standing in front of a brick house with a Greek revival portico with Ionic columns. A large sign overhead reads "Ye Olde Burlington Home 1773 - 1923". Location is 342 Pearl Street, Burlington, built in 1800 by and home of Horace Loomis. The Klifa Club is a women's club founded in 1900. The name means "to climb" and is an Icelandic word. Members meet twice a month for luncheons and have guest speakers.
