- Description: November 6, 1954. The steamship Ticonderoga is seen in the southern end of Shelburne Bay. A basin was dug, filled with water to raise the ship onto a cradle and then the basin was drained so the ship came to rest on the cradle for its 2 mile overland journey to the Shelburne Museum.
