        • Description: March 13, 1940. Intersection of North Street and North Winooski Avenue. This view shows the style of new street signs just erected on North Street from North Winooski Avenue to North Avenue. These signs were designed, constructed and erected by Street Department employees during the winter months. The name plates were purchased from the Lyle Signs Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota. There were seventeen of these signs constructed and erected on this street. Retail stores can be seen and include a barber shop, Kirby's Radio Shop (250 North St.) and Brockton Shoe Store (248 North St).

                    • Description: July 1, 1943. Pine Street - Street Improvements. This view shows Pine street looking south from the intersection of Morse Place after the rough grading and the sewer construction of the Telfold Stone Base on a sand cushion had been completed during the winter months and a layer of crushed stone had been spread over the Telfold Base and Wearing Surfaces will be done during the summer season of 1943. Final work of grading the shoulders and sidewalk area will be done as soon as the pavement construction is completed. Sign to the right reads "Pine Hill Development / Choice Building Lots / H.C. Petersen, Realtor / 76 Church St., phone 643".
