Scene depicts an outdoor scene. A log cabin exterior is seen to the right. Center stage seems to have "rocks" or "boulders" arranged in a seating formation. Photo #2.       Ticonderoga - Move to Shelburne Museum

        • Description: November 5, 1954. The steamship Ticonderoga and a tugboat are positioned near a barge on which a large crane is set. The steam engines have been shut down at this point in the operation. This 450 foot long basin was dug at the southern end of Shelburne Bay, was filled with water so as to get the ship onto a cradle and then the basin drained once the vessel was set. Photo 34.

              • Description: January 19, 1955. Some of the men and equipment on site needed to prepare the terrain for the transport of the steamship Ticonderoga to the Shelburne Museum. The engineering firm of Merritt-Chapman & Scott were contracted to undertake the move. They subcontracted with W. B. Hill Co. of Tilton, New Hampshire to oversee the ship's overland trip. Photo 104.
