My Dear Mother:
I may not get back into
the office today & so I
send you the love of Mildred
and me from the Senate
floor. I hope you can
realize how great our
love and devotion is even
if you cannot read this
illegible writing.
As Congress advances
toward the end business
is speeding up and we
are more busy. We are
now working on the Bill
for regulation of the
stock exchanges. I wish
we could have a reasonable
law but it is apparent
that we will not, therefore
I shall have to vote against
it. I am sorry!
If some of the amendments
we offer should be
accepted I could vote
for the bill.
The air mail still
engages our efforts &
hearings will resume
next Monday-
