<l>February 21, 1935</l>
<l>Dear Mother:</l>
<l>Here is a clipping from this morning's Post</l>
<l>which I will be glad to have you send to Bob</l>
<l>when you are through with it.</l>
<l>This Thirty Hour Bill tied me up for sixteen</l>
<l>days of hearings.</l>
<l>I attended every day all</l>
<l>of the time and heard every witness, and my</l>
<l>apparent obstinacy is based on the evidence.</l>
<l>Of course, the fact that four Members of</l>
<l>the Committee held different views caused me</l>
<l>to pause about my own judgment, and so my</l>
<l>decision is the result of extra caution.</l>
<l>Best love.</l>
<l>Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin,</l>
