					<l>United States Senate</l>
					<l>WASHINGTON, D. C.</l>
					<l>April 6, 1935</l>
					<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>Your wonderful letter has been interesting us for two</l>
<l>days. Last night I read the part of it relating to</l>
<l>Congress to a party of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Patrick and</l>
<l>Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stearns, of Woodstock. They, too,</l>
					<l>thought it was a wonderful letter.</l>
<l>I enclose the Minority Report on the Thirty Hour</l>
<l>Bill. Probably this bill will not come up for dis-</l>
					<l>cussion for ten days.</l>
<l>I am interested to get your reaction to Huey Long,</l>
<l>as expressed in your letters. He will undoubtedly</l>
<l>be a candidate for President, and I am afraid that</l>
<l>his candidacy will cut into the Republican ranks</l>
<l>as much as into Democratic ranks.</l>
<l>Mildred gave a large dinner to the British Ambassa-</l>
<l>dor this week, and it was a wonderful party. I sup-</l>
<l>pose she will write you all about it. She is a</l>
					<l>great help to me.</l>

<l>We are both well, and send you love.</l>
					<l>Your affectionate son,</l>
					<l>Warren.</l>
					<l>Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin,</l>
					<l>91 South Main Street,</l>
					<l>St. Albans, Vermont.</l>
