<l>COPY</l>
<l>January 28, 1936</l>
<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>I am most happy to receive yours of the 23rd, with enclosure</l>
<l>about Chan. I return that enclosure herewith.</l>
<l>I sincerely hope that the good will expressed therein will</l>
<l>benefit Chan materially. It ought to.</l>
<l>I know that you will be eager to listen in on my broadcast</l>
<l>February 6th, and so I call your attention to a change in</l>
<l>the time. It will be from 7 to 7:15 P.M. My subject</l>
<l>will be "The Supreme Court and Government by the People".</l>
<l>I will speak from the studios of WJSV in Washington, but</l>
<l>the address will come to New England by special wire, and</l>
<l>you will probably find it on any of the following stations</l>
<l>belonging to The Yankee Network:</l>
<l>WAAB,</l>
<l>Boston</l>
<l>WORC,</l>
<l>Worcester</l>
<l>WMAS,</l>
<l>Springfield</l>
<l>WLLH,</l>
<l>Lowell</l>
<l>WPRO,</l>
<l>Providence</l>
<l>WICC</l>
<l>Bridgeport</l>
<l>WFEA,</l>
<l>Manchester</l>
<l>WLBZ,</l>
<l>Bangor</l>
<l>WDRO,</l>
<l>Augusta.</l>
<l>This is one of a series of twelve speeches by New England</l>
<l>Senators, of which there are six Democrats and six Republicans,</l>
<l>so that both parties will be equally represented, although it</l>
<l>is expected that their addresses will be informative, rather</l>
<l>then political.</l>
<l>We are having very cold weather here.</l>
<l>Best love from Mildred and me.</l>
<l>Your affectionate son</l>
<l>Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin,</l>
<l>St. Albans,</l>
<l>Vermont.</l>
