COPY January 28, 1936 My dear Mother: I am most happy to receive yours of the 23rd, with enclosure about Chan. I return that enclosure herewith. I sincerely hope that the good will expressed therein will benefit Chan materially. It ought to. I know that you will be eager to listen in on my broadcast February 6th, and so I call your attention to a change in the time. It will be from 7 to 7:15 P.M. My subject will be "The Supreme Court and Government by the People". I will speak from the studios of WJSV in Washington, but the address will come to New England by special wire, and you will probably find it on any of the following stations belonging to The Yankee Network: WAAB, Boston WORC, Worcester WMAS, Springfield WLLH, Lowell WPRO, Providence WICC Bridgeport WFEA, Manchester WLBZ, Bangor WDRO, Augusta. This is one of a series of twelve speeches by New England Senators, of which there are six Democrats and six Republicans, so that both parties will be equally represented, although it is expected that their addresses will be informative, rather then political. We are having very cold weather here. Best love from Mildred and me. Your affectionate son Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin, St. Albans, Vermont.
