United States Senate Washington April 7, 1936 My Dear Mother: We are in the impeachment trial of Judge Ritter of Florida. Sitting as a court of 96 judges for hours without end is difficult. It is especially hard for trial lawyers like myself to keep still when the conduct of the trial seems inexpert and pointless.  I am listening with my  ears but not giving any earful attention just now because the details are not  relevant. Interrupted here- I just want to say that I am thinking of you and sending my love- Warren
