<l>February 8, 1937</l>
<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>I am in great haste, but I must tell you</l>
<l>how much I appreciate the encouragement</l>
<l>of your letter of the 6th.</l>
<l>We are in a storm center here this morn-</l>
<l>ing. The President's obvious designs on</l>
<l>the Supreme Court have aroused a storm</l>
<l>which beats up from all sides.</l>
<l>You know where I stand, and shall con-</l>
<l>tinue to stand.</l>
<l>Best love.</l>
<l>Your affectionate son,</l>
<l>Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin,</l>
