Copy March 25, 1937 My dear Mother: I have neglected you, but you have been in my mind daily, as usual. I did not give you longer notice of the radio broadcast because I have been ex- tremely busy since I learned that I was to make it, which was only last night. The hearings in our Judiciary Committee call for intensive work, and the giving of the necessary attention to testimony is really exhausting. I try to classify it and estimate it as it comes in because the volume of it is very great. The transcript has already reached 1700 pages. Best love from Mildred and me. Your loving son, Mrs. C. G. Austin, St. Albans, Vermont.
