					<l>June 21, 1937</l>
					<l>Dear Mother:</l>
<l>Your letter of the 18th has been received, and</l>
					<l>Mildred and I enjoyed it very much.</l>
<l>We are so glad that you had a real sociable birth-</l>
<l>day. I wish that Mildred and I could have visited,</l>
					<l>too.</l>
<l>Our new home is at 2211 Thirtieth Street, N.W., and</l>
<l>you are now invited to come there as soon as possible</l>
<l>and stay as long as you can. I wish you would accept</l>
<l>this invitation, although I have great fear that you</l>
					<l>will not do so.</l>
<l>I am going to Burlington for a necessary purpose</l>
<l>Saturday, the 26th, and if you could come back with</l>
<l>me, I would drive to St. Albans, and we would take</l>
					<l>The Washingtonian together there.</l>
<l>We are going into a Judiciary Committee Meeting this</l>
<l>morning. I have to cut Interstate Commerce Committee</l>
<l>because it occurs at the same hour. Our business here</l>
<l>is awfully foolish sometimes, but it cannot be helped</l>
<l>because the minority is so small that the Committee work</l>
<l>is just too much for each one.</l>
					<l>Best love.</l>
					<l>Your affectionate son,</l>
					<l>Warren</l>
					<l>Mrs. Chauncey G. Austin,</l>
