United States Senate Washington, D.C. Jan. 26, 1938. My Dear Mother: We will vote in a petition for cloture tomorrow.  The proposition raises a question of greater importance than the the one  raised by the Bill on which it is desired to terminate the fillibuster.  I have no hesitancy in deciding to vote against cloture altho' I intend to vote for the Anti-Lynching Bill and dislike to have the fillibuster end.  I believe we ought to preserve the right of unlimited debate in the Senate- Love Warren
