United States Senate Washington Feb. 14, 1938. My Dear Mother: I had a great audience at Utica- All who could get into the hall- Standing and sitting- The people are certainly con- cerned about government. Probably you could not hear my broadcast.  The hook-up was limited to the surrounding counties. Edward & Ruth were there. They are fine.  On my return I was glad to get your fine letters. This morning we voted in the Judiciary Com. on Equal rights for women.  8 to 8. 7 voted for it.  A motion to reconsider is now pending- Love, Warren
