United States Senate Washington Feb. 17, 1938. My Dear Mother: My daily communication with you is important to me and I do not ship it without cause, This morning the sub. com. on which I am serving in the Judiciary Committee took  testimony regarding the need for an additional judge in the Northern District of Georgia. The Senate refused to adopt "cloture" yesterday & so the filibuster on the anti- lynching bill continues. I am expecting Judge Davis of Barre here tonight for a conference related to the Everett Estate.  Mildred & I well. Love Warren-
