Senate Chamber Apr. 25, 1938 My Dear Mother: I am losing ground.  I have received two letters from you since I last wrote- and they were appreciated.  Mildred is better but goes for treatment every day and coughs a lot at night. It is delightful sunny weather and I think of you and your garden.  Wish I could be with you. We just received a message from the President to defy the judgement of the Sup.
