					<l>United States Senate</l>
					<l>Washington</l>
					<l>Apr. 26, 1938.</l>
					<l>My Dear Mother:</l>
<l>Sen. Borah is now talking on the Big</l>
					<l>Navy bill.  There is quite a gallery</l>
					<l>but only about 1/8 of the Senate</l>
<l>present.  He seems to be talking</l>
					<l>against the bill.</l>
					<l>I have attended two</l>
					<l>committee meetings: one on a</l>
					<l>new bankruptcy bill, (which we</l>
					<l>will need when the [ ] [ ]</l>
					<l>again fails), and a railroad</l>
<l>bill- Work piles up and on.</l>
<l>I doubt if we adjourn early.</l>
					<l>Mildred continues to improve.</l>
					<l>Edward telephoned last night to</l>
					<l>find out how she was.</l>
					<l>Best love,</l>
					<l>Warren</l>
