United States Senate Washington May 26, '38. My Dear Mother: We finished our hearings this morning on the Bankruptcy Bill.  I was fortunate enough to get some amendments accepted which I think improve the bill. However, there are others which I shall probably try for on the floor of the Senate. The Com. voted 12 to 6 in my favor on a Norris amendment to the Constitution. Thats good too. The debate on spending runs on. Sen. Bridge's wife died suddenly today.  Sorry for him & the children- Best love, Warren
