					<l>Enclosed is a letter from Mrs. Charlotte Barney Pultz,</l>
					<l>of Essex, New York, together with copy of my reply,</l>
					<l>reminiscent of Highgate.</l>
					<l>I thought you would be interested to read this cor-</l>
					<l>respondence before I file it away.</l>
					<l>This morning, I attended a Committee, in Senator</l>
					<l>Hatch&apos;s office, on proposed legislation,to be joint-</l>
					<l>ly sponsored,for purity in elections. Also the</l>
					<l>Appropriations Committee, in connection with War</l>
					<l>Department appropriations.</l>
					<l>This afternoon the final meeting of the Conference</l>
					<l>on National Defense is to begin at two.</l>
