My Dear Mother:
Just a message of love
in a busy day. Four committees
today- all of them important.
Senate has recessed to Monday.
Have just had the pleasant
experience of having the
unanimous approval of the
Committee on Privileges and
Elections of a joint bill
introduced by Senators Hatch,
Shepard and myself, to preserve
the sanctity of the ballot from
pernicious political activities.
Clean copy will be made
between now and Tuesday
Where it will probably be
reported to the Senate.
