My Dear Mother:
Going in high speed
today; but must
have a word with
you.
The big show is on outside-
Parade and ceremony
to suitable welcome a
South American president.
I must stay with my
work however.
We are finishing hearings
on some railway legislation.
Right now we are on the
subject of bankruptcies
and receiverships. Hope we
give help rather than obstruction
to the Railroads. They
will go thro' the wringer
if we do not. Thereupon
depositors in banks and
insured persons would
feel the injury too.
Our responsibility is
great- I pray for
judgment and guidance.
