Thank you for
your good letter
about your trip
uptown.
I received a letter
from Ros this
morning-
The President of Nicaragua has
just been received in the Senate.
His name is Anastasio Somoza
and he is quite personable.
His speech was in good taste
and indicated that they would
like to have a canal built
in Nicaragua-
Mildred and I intend to
go to N.Y. on public service
next Wednesday. If circum-
stances permit we may go
on to Vermont for Sunday-
Cannot stay away from
here long-
The Agricultural Appropriation
is the pending bill. It is
staggering in amount- I
expect to support it.
