<l>Read Sen. Vanderbergs reply to Lawrence on</l>

					<l>United States Senate</l>

					<l>My Dear Mother:</l>

					<l>Mildred returned.</l>
					<l>She is a pleasant and interesting</l>

					<l>The President had a jolt</l>
					<l>yesterday by the vote 12-</l>
					<l>11 of Foreign Relations Com.</l>
					<l>to postpone action on Neutrality.</l>
					<l>It shows what a bad</l>

					<l>would have preferred to</l>
					<l>repeal the neutrality act</l>
					<l>if the President had been</l>

					<l>My own position, you know</l>
					<l>from my Chicago speech-</l>
<l>Even now, in spite of my</l>

					<l>I would vote to repeal</l>
					<l>the embargoes provisions</l>
