The "top of the news,"
as Fulton Lewis says
is that the President
has invited to a conference tonight
at the White House regarding
neutrality legislation
Senators McNary, Borah and
myself, republicans. This
is the first time in seven
years last [ ] this has
occurred.
He is trying to [resume?] the
the Committee and get action
at this Session. I don't believe
that he can get it. It will,
however, be a memorable
event. There will be present
also the democratic leader
and chairman of the Foreign
Relations Com. also Sec. of
State Hull-
