My Dear Mother:
We are having diffi-
culty getting a quorum
this morning, while
the roll is being called for
absentees, I have a few
moments with you.
I am sorry to learn that Ros
has an attack of lumbago.
I know how tiresome that
can be, tho' it is many
years since I had one.
We are holding long
sessions- begin at 11 A.M.
and run into the night-
maybe ten or eleven tonight.
The spending and lending
bill is on the floor. The
debate on it will be
thorough. Republicans
want the Country to
understand the burden
that is loaded onto
them-
