My Dear Mother:
Our old friend Senator McCarran
is debating now. He is against
the Resolution.
There is talk in the
corridors that we may begin
to vote on amendments
next week, but internal
signs indicate that a
fillibuster is on. For
example Sen. Holman
was lended a speech
all written and ready to read
and was asked by Sen. Nye
to deliver the speech. This
is clearly unncessary
for the purpose of
educating anyone. The
subject has been exhausted.
Well, I can stand it if
necessary.
I look forward to the
arrival of Mildred tomorrow.
