My Dear Mother:
We did quite a lot of
voting yesterday. Amended
the bill to addapt [adapt]
the restrictions to the
combat areas etc.
We removed the
provision for 90 days
credit.
We relaxed conditions
relating to change of
title and transportation
on coastal waters between
the 66 meridian of longitude
and the U.S. Also we
opened the ocean lanes
to Bermuda.
I think these changes
will improve the bill.
Right now there seems
to be a revival of speed
making.
