My Dear Mother:
I think more interesting
business lies ahead.
We will vote at 3 P.M. today on
the Hatch Bill. After that
we will proceed with the
Appropriation for Agriculture.
After that- the Trade
Treaty Bill. Then, maybe
the Bill to remove immunity
of government securities
from taxation.
The two latter bills involve
fundamental questions,
I am always specially
interested in defending
the Constitution from
encroachment by
legislation.
Hope you are going
to have spring sometime.
