My Dear Mother:
We lost out yesterday
by two votes-
Martin 38
Rosier 40.
We go on to the bill to
authorize acquisition of
foreign ships in our
harbors, doing nothing.
This will be a departure
from former experience.
However, I will vote for it
on the ground of national
defense.
Edward is still at the
Hospital for examination.
Up to last night they had
found nothing that
was not normal.
I do hope you feel
better today-
