United States Senate Washington March 21, 1938 My Dear Mother: Marion Webb is recovering and Charlie is back on the job this morning. We are all relieved- Over the week end I got out for golf and, tho' I played a laughable game, I had some fun and exercise- I think I will debate the reorganization bill when there is an opportunity to get the floor. The vote in Committee on the Equal Rights amendment this morning stood 9-9 so it will come out without recommendation Best love, Warren
