November 27, 1934. Photo #20A. This picture shows the starting of the grading of the east-west runway, just east of its junction with the north-south runway. Hand labor was used as much as possible in accordance with the V.E.R.A (Vermont Emergency Relief Administration) principles. Caption on this 1934 photo reads ""#20A 11-27-34 Municipal Air Port Project - Grading East end of East and West runway with VERA labor."
