June 29, 1946 Institute Road - Rock Excavation Street Widening Project. This view looking westerly from the intersection of North Ave. and Institute Road shows the rock excavation completed and the concrete sidewalk ready to be completed on the intersection at the left, the base filling having been already placed. Also on the left is a sign reading "Municipal Beach, Park Dept. Closed 9 PM"
