This view of Staniford Road shows the completed pavement after a layer of washed sand had been spread over the surface for curing purposes. The small tandem roller in this picture was used for the roller ironing process with followed the initial surface rolling of the ten ton (10 T) tandem roller. Work done by the Burlington Street Dept. Undated but may be 1942.
